The experience of viewing art is strongly influenced by our own sense of time and place. The connection between art and our emotions is immutable. The value of a work becomes a function of the feeling it transmits and the clarity with which it is expressed.

Impressionistic and expressive, my art strives to capture a unique perception of land, sea, sky, and human scapes. Quintessentially Australian, they reflect the strong southern light with a distinctive and high-keyed colour palette. These works aim to expand the conventional notion of a particular scape.

The use of curved horizons, strong textural marks, layering of line and combinations of media support the often-panoramic viewpoint of much of my work. The paintings possess a sense of rhythm and intrigue that entices the viewer to join the artist beyond accepted boundaries. What we perceive is changed as our emotions alters our mood.
